Lina Inverse is the main character in Slayers. She is known for stealing from thieves and
giving to herself, which has earned her the name of "Bandit Killer". She is also called "Dora-mata" which is short for "Dragon no Mataida tooru" which means "even Dragon avoid" in English. In other words, she is called "Dragon Spooker," which is true since dragons really DO run away from her!! Lina is powerful in black magic, and is very smart. She is recognized as the leader of her group and is respected for her skills in black magic which include the Dragon Slave, and the Giga Slave. She is a knight of either Shabaranigdo or even the Lord of Nightmares. Her home town is Zefilia, which specializes in grapes and wines. She is estimated be 500 years old. Magic slows the aging process and since she learned magic quickly, she stopped aging around 15 or 16...and left her undeveloped....Lina's name comes from her sister Luna, who was the original idea for the series. |
