EPISODE #21: Goodbye? No! A Tearful Parting!?
Kusanagi battles murakumo, but, this time, Kusanagi is set on fighting to the finish. However, he does not know that Momiji can see his fighting in her mind. Meanwhile, the team tries to find a way to destroy the giant vine that has take root in Izumo. Elsewhere, Kunikida and Momiji's mom and grandmother try to stop Kaede and Susano-O from entering the Kushinada shrine...
EPISODE #22: Sadness and Destiny-- Momiji Kushinada
The government, with the moon on a crashing trajetory toward Japan, and the countryside nearly overrun by the Aragami, has finally decide to sacrifice Momiji. Kunikida and the other members of the NLMB refuse to give her to the government, but Momiji decides to sacrifce herself for the good of humanity. Kunikida sends Koume and Takeuchi to retrieve her from the government's hands, but when they reach her, Momiji tell s them that life is not worht living without Kusanagi. The three girls nearly get caught, but escape with Sakura's help. While in the car, Momiji's Mitama starts to glow and she feels Kusanagi's presence...
EPISODE #23: Reunion and Departure. I Won't Give Up!
Momiji and the others, hunted by the governments forces, have taken shelter in Sakura's apartment and are preparing for their next strike against the Aragami. Murakumo suddenly appears and takes Momiji away, wounding Yaegashi in the process. Murakumo wants to use her as a bargaining chip, for he believes that he has been tricked by Kaede and the Aragami. He tries to kill Kaede and Momiji, but is stopped by an enraged Kusanagi. The very next day, the government releases photos of Momiji on TV, asking the populace to help bringing her back, dead or alive.
EPISODE #24: The Setting Sun, the Coming Dawn-- Each to Its Own Time
The population of Japan is starting to be quite impatient with Momiji, a girl who will just not let herself be sacrificed to save them, and with the government, who does not seem to be able to protect them efficiently...Meanwhile, Kunikida tries to persuade the government that the NLMB can take care of the Aragami WITHOUT sacrificing Momiji. That night, Koume, the "hurricane of battle", is starting to be scared and seeks refuge in Yaegashi's arms. Everyone prepare for the final battle, a battle that will bring humanity victory...or Armageddon.
