| No movie anytime soon From what we hear as of now the option rights have expired for the movie. Which means we are at square one again, oh well... WoTC's Peter Archer releases little tidbits on DL movie Peter Archer said that the option is held by a major film studio and a script had been written based on Dragons of Aurumn Twilight. He also pointed out that it was not New Line Cinema (Who released D&D: The Movie and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy). He also mentioned that the studio was interested in involving Margeret and Tracey in the project. Orginally Posted at Dragonlance.com! Hopefully if it does get made they do involve M & T in it. Last thing we need is someone ruining it. Margaret Weis Addresses WotC Message Boards Dear Friends, In question to the answers on the board, heres what I can tell you about the DL movie. A production company has optioned Dragonlance for a live action, big-budget movie. According to what we hear, the people who run the company are long-time fans. We were told by WotC that we could make this announcement at Gen Con, which we did. We are not allowed to say anything else for the moment. As soon as we can tell you more, I promise we will! Though I wouldnt get to excited it still has a ways to go. Being optioned is only the first step. Many movies are optioned but never see the light of day. |
