| Info and Rants: 02/17/04 It's been a very long time since I've updated this page but now at least I've done it. I've been very busy over the last few months because 1. I work alot, and 2. The Holidays take up alot of time. First there is Thanksgiving, then Christmas and New Years, then my GF B-day, Superbowl Sunday, and Valentines Day. Thank goodness it's all over.... I'll try to update more often but I can't promise. I would more often though if you all sent me some reviews or previews so help a brotha out! :P 11/04/03 The Matrix Revolutions comes out tomorrow! In what is called a Zero Hour release, fans across the world will be able to see the film simutaniously. 6am in Los Angeles, 9am in NYC, 2pm in London, 5pm in Moscow, and 11pm in Tokyo, so adjust your time accordingly with what time zone you live in. Now that I have that out of the way, SSX3... is it just me or is the on-line component slower than maple syrup! I play with a dial-up but I don't have any problems with any of my other games. Oh well... 10/29/03 Added a new section for contests. If you know of any good ones, LET ME KNOW. Also, besides BG&E, Final Fantasy XI was just released for the PC. I'm still waiting for the PS2 version, but if you have it, let me know what you think. 10/28/03 I finished my review of SSX3 and placed it on a separate page. You can find the link in my Popular review section. Let me know what you think. 10/22/03 Ok I've worked a little bit more on the site today (about an hour). I've added a guestbook and a place for everyone to submit content if they wish. SO how does it look? Peace out... 10/21/03 I've morked on the site a little today (maybe about 2 hours) and I think I know what I want to do with it. It'll be a preview/review site sorta giving my opinions. I'm not to hot on the name yet though....still learning too.... 10/20/03 Yahoo! PageBuilder! Starting to use it a little.... I've spent just 10 minutes rearranging things. | Preview: Hidalgo Hidalgo is a true story that takes place around the turn of the century (1890). It's based on a U.S. Cowboy (Viggo Mortensen) and his American Mustang Horse named Hidalgo who were considered to be the best rider and horse in North America. Invited to participate in the most prestigious endurance race in all the world by a powerful shiek, the Cowboy and Hidalgo travel to the Arabian desert. This movie and true story looks to be a feel good story of triumph of the spirit as the Cowboy and his Horse Hidalgo face many hardships and perils. I am eager to see this film given the fact that it is a true story about an underdog (i.e. Rocky, Seabiscuit) and the acting appears to be strong. I urge everyone to see this film as it opens March 5th, 2004. |

| Lord of the Rings: Return of the King: This game is SUPERB! Based on the movie of the same name, this game is the best conversion of a movie into a video game. It follows the same story arc of the movie but also gives you a more indepth look of battle sequences that make up most of the game play. You can play the game however you'd like. You can either button-mash or use skilled combo attacks to accomplish your goals. You also have the ability to play through three different perspectives and also with multiple characters. After completing certain levels you will also get insight into the movie and game production through interviews with the cast and crew and also production notes and concept art. Upon completion of the game you will also be able to unlock a variety of characters in the LOTR universe (i.e. Frodo, Faramir, etc etc). Finally, you will also be able to play cooperatively with a friend and even go on-line if you have a broadband connection. It's very entertaining and enjoyable. If you'd like to live the adventure, give this game a try. Fifa Soccer 2004 I haven't played a soccer game in quite a few years but after playing a demo of this game I decided to give it a try. Fifa Soccer 2004 is a great game. The graphics and animations are smooth and the controls are tight for the most part. It's still a little frustrating because not all your players do what you want them to but with off the ball control, it is easier to get them to do your bidding. This game has a ton of Leagues and Teams from all around the world with each teams current roster of players. The game does have a few glitches and annoyances such as no autosave but with on-line play, the game is very entertaining. |
