Jamie Noble vs. William Regal

The bell rings and we get a lock up with Regal kneeing Noble to the corner. Regal with a huge overhead suplex on Noble and starts choking him with his knee. Regal with a full nelson on Noble. Noble steps on Regal's toes, hits a few elbows, roll up by Regal, roll up by Noble, but Regal stops the action with a big right hand. Regal with an irish whip to the corner followed by some stiff kicks to the ground. Regal with a big release german suplex on Noble. Regal picks up Noble and Noble gets Regal in a small package for the win!

Winner: Jamie Noble

WWE Raw - 08/04/08

Back from commercial and Layla is in the ring dancing, kind of like she used to on ECW with Extreme Expose. We cut to a clip from earlier of Jamie Noble trying to run game on Layla again. She says this is enough and tells him she doesn't associate herself with losers and walks off. We go back to the ring where Layla is finishing her dance. William Regal's music suddenly plays as he makes his way to the ring with microphone in hand.

Regal asks Layla to pardon the interruption but he needs to come out here and remind everyone who he is. He tells everyone he is their King of the Ring, William Regal. Layla watches on. Jamie Noble's music hits and he comes out to the ring with a serious look on his face. Noble attacks Regal and the two start brawling. WWE officials enter the ring and try to break them apart as Layla looks puzzled at ringside.

WWE Raw - 07/28/08

CM Punk vs. William Regal

Punk makes his way to the ring and locks eyes with JBL as he holds his belt high in the air. Punk's opponent is out next and it is the former RAW General Manager, William Regal.

Wrestling, going back and forth. Punk hits Regal with a knee to the jaw followed by a kick and a 2 count. Punk hits more knees and backs Regal into the corner. Regal turns it around and drops Punk with right hands. Regal goes to the outside and kicks Punk in the head while down on the mat. Regal back in the ring now and he stomps on Punk until his head is bleeding. Regal with another 2 count.

Regal continues punishing Punk, dropping knees on him and getting another near fall. Punk fights back and rolls Regal up for a 2 count. JBL keeps putting over how good Regal looks in the ring against Punk, and he does. Regal applies another submission hold and the crowd tries to get behind Punk. The hold breaks and the two start to brawl. Punk hits lefts and rights followed by a big kick and a 2 count.

Regal hits a huge back suplex on Punk and covers him for another 2 count. Out of nowhere Punk puts Regal in the GTS, lays him out and gets the pinfall for the win.

Winner: CM Punk

WWE Raw - 05/19/08

The lights are out. When they come up it’s Regal in the ring. He sets up for ONS. Jeff will face Umaga there. Orton and JBL are on the tron. Regal speaks to them about who they want to face. Tonight they will team up and face HHH and Cena. If they win they will get their rematches at ONS and they can pick their types of matches. But if Cena and HHH win they will face each other and Regal will pick the match.
Kennedy’s music cuts off any further talk from Regal. He comes out to the ring and gets in Regal’s face. Regal wants to know how many times they will have to do this. There’s always consequences.
Kennedy says he knows, but wants to face Regal in the ring.
Regal says Kennedy’s not his equal. The next person to interrupt him will be fired on the spot because he’s his superior.
Vince’s music cut’s Regal off. Vince comes out looking slightly annoyed.
Kennedy tell Vince he shouldn’t have done that. Kennedy tells Regal to fire him.
Vince says he had given Regal his endorsement, but due to the huge amount of viewer complaints, more than ever in history. Not that Regal cares what they think about him, as Vince doesn’t care. But he does care about the money.
Regal says sometimes you have to take ½ a step back to step forward.
Yes, but it’s about ratings. The ratings go down when Regal’s on the TV and go down further the longer he’s on the air. But Regal wants Kennedy gone, as does Vince. Vince doesn’t like him, but the fans want Regal gone. Tonight it will be Regal against Kennedy. The loser will be gone! FIRED! Vince leaves the ring. Kennedy and Regal glare at each other.

Regal, in his office, HBK comes in. He says he knows Regal is busy, but wants to wish him luck with Kennedy. HBK says he’ll get to sit back and watch tonight. Regal says HBK is going to be in a Stretcher Match at ONS with the winner of tonight’s Y2J and Batista match.

Regal is getting ready for his match. Vince comes in and tells him he needs to beat him. Ted DiBiase comes in. Regal gets tossed from his office.

Lillian announces that the winner of this match will be fired. Kennedy comes out to the ring. His mic comes down and he says soon there will be no more Regal who’s about to lose his Royal jewels. Regal comes out to face him.
They lock up and Kennedy is backed into a corner. They come out, Regal is whipped then a back body drop and Regal is covered for two. Regal, looking dazed leaves the ring. He sweeps Kennedy’s legs from under him and slams him around outside. In the ring knee to Kennedy’s face. Regal covers for two. Kennedy gets backed into a corner. “Kennedy” chants. Regal covers for two. Regal locks on a chin/arm hold. Regal lets him out and toys with him, kicking him in the face and body, but then Kennedy comes back with a kick to the side of Regal’s head. Another kick to Regal’s head and Kennedy covers for two. Kennedy gets tossed from the ring. Regal goes outside too and grabs a mic. He makes it a No DQ Match. Regal grabs his brass knucks and goes after Kennedy. He kicks him in the side of the head, throws him into the stairs and then tossed him back in the ring. Regal still has the mic in one hand, knucks on the other. Kennedy gets up fast, kicks Regal and hits a mic check for three.

- Winner: Kennedy

Regal is writhing on the mat, jobless, looking like he’s in actual pain. He hasn’t looked well through the whole match. The fans are yelling at Regal who suddenly realizes what happened. They start singing ‘Goodbye’ to him. He grabs his knucks, tucks them in his tights and looks around. The “USA” chants start too. He glares around at the fans, nods and then leaves as they chant “Regal sucks.” He backs up the ramp, looking around at them all. He looks kind of out of it, a bit bobble headed.

Regal is pounding on his office door, trying to be let in. Teddy Long comes out and walks by with a grin. Regal looks shocked.

WWE Raw - 05/12/08

The lights are completely out in the arena. JR and King are talking about it when the come on. Regal and Lillian are in ring. Lillian starts singing God Save The Queen. Huge heat. Regal stands there stoic through it all. “You suck” chants start.
Regal asks how dare the disrespect his country and him. He’s the GM and King and can do as he wishes. He can have people thrown out if he wishes. He’s going to make an example of people. He leaves the ring and starts walking around looking at the fans in the front row. He picks a couple people and says they’re being tossed out.
Mickie rushes out to try to stop it. Regal says he doesn’t care if it’s her brother and his girlfriend. He tosses them out and goes back to the ring. Mickie follows him to the ring. He tells her he’ll throw her out too. He then threatens to strip her of her belt. He’s about to do something when Cena’s music cuts him off.
Cena comes down to the ring. He puts an arm around Mickie and escorts her from the ring. He watches her leave and glares at Regal. He says he’s been gone for a few weeks. Usually when he comes back he’s bouncing around ready to raise some hell. But he needs to talk to Regal man to man. He knows Regal’s in a new position. He knows he’s working hard. He knows how hard it is to pour his heart out and is then told he sucks. He knows everyone thinks Regal is screwing up.
Regal says Vince agrees with him
Cena says Vince is crazy. He talks to himself and has so strange sexual fetishes. Cena says he has fan’s letters. He reads one that says, “Why should they respect Regal when he doesn’t respect us.” Another says, ”This is bad, WCW Thunder bad.” A 75 year old grandmother says, “Regal is like pooping in my mouth and calling it a sundae.”
The fans are giving tons of heat, including chanting, “Fire Regal.”
Regal asks if this is how people feel.
Cena says they do feel this way.
Regal says he won’t shut off the lights tonight. He says that Cena’s been gone due to the kick in the head from Orton at the PPV.
Cena says he wants to know when JBL will be involved, five or ten minutes into the match.
Regal says no one will interfere. If they do they will be suspended. Regal says that now that he’s earned some respect, he leaves the ring.
Cena stops him on the ramp and says he didn’t earn respect, he made a good match. He still needs to talk to him though. He started the Show by having Lillian sing God Save The Queen. They’re in America now. If Regal doesn’t clean it up even God won’t save him. The fans will rip him apart. Cena gets so cheap pops and then gets Lillian to Sing Aretha Franklin’s Respect.
Of course she does it beautifully.

JBL comes out to the stage with Regal. JBL is in a ref’s shirt. He says Regal has decided the ref is not right for this match and JBL is now the ref.

WWE Raw - 04/28/08

Lillian announces the official coronation of the new KOTR. Regal is in the throne in the ring. He says he wants to put an end to any speculation, he’s not going to relinquish his job as GM. He’s earned both jobs and deserves them. He’s now the most powerful man in the WWE. No one has to like him, but we and the superstars have no choice but respect him and fear him. From this day forward he’s our ruler, our better and our...
Kennedy! He comes out to the ring looking pissed. Regal looks really mad. They get in each other’s faces. Kennedy says he’d like to be the first to congratulate Regal on becoming KOTR. He’d like to, but can’t. Who’s the biggest star who wasn’t invited. Who, if been there, would have won it? Who’s the guy who’d like to challenge Regal to find out who the real KOTR is.
Regal cuts him off. He says he’s not a regular wrestler, he’s the GM and KOTR. He demands an apology.
Kennedy says’s his name loud and clear rather than apologizing. Regal attacks him the second time through his name. Kennedy starts fighting back and refs rush the ring to break it up. They are throwing punches and kicking like crazy. The refs get them apart and Kennedy is bleeding a tiny bit, Regal looks crazed! They get Regal out of the ring, but he’s still bug eyed and crazy looking as he stares at Kennedy

Regal is in the production trailer. He’s pissed and says the fans don’t deserve to see the end of the match. The guy won’t listen to him until Regal screams and forces the screen to go to black.
The screen is black but JR and King are talking about how Orton is still in the cross face and can’t get to the ropes. The whole show then cuts off...

WWE Raw - 04/21/08

The next person out for the KOTR Tournament is Regal! He’s wrestling! He’s facing Horney. Finlay and Horney are at the top of the ramp. Finlay tells him no and they keep going out back.
Regal goes up the ramp and grabs Horney. Horney gets tossed in the ring and Regal glares at him. Regal rushes Horney and pushes him down. He applies the Regal stretch and Horney taps out.

- Winner: Regal

Finlay somehow got back in the ring to help his son. Regal cheap shots Finlay from behind with a kick to Finlay’s knee. The refs are trying to help both father and son in the ring.

Regal’s music and he comes down to the ring. Video of Horney losing to Regal. Finlay’s music and he limps to the ring himself. His knee is heavily taped.
Regal tries to go after Finlay’s knee, but can’t get a hold on it. Finlay is able to monkey flip Regal with one leg. Regal hit the ropes as they were off their Mark. Finlay goes out of the ring after Regal. Regal slams Finlay legs first into the stairs. Regal kicks and pummels Finlay’s knee. Huge “Regal sucks” chants. Regal keeps working over that knee. Finlay comes back with punches and forearms. Regal gets tossed shoulder first into the ring post. Finlay covers for two. They go back and forth, fighting hard. Finlay tries for a backslide and has to use Regal’s hair to do it. Regal manages to get the Regal stretch on Finlay. Finlay’s knee is at a bad angle and both arms are tied up. He can’t tap out and the ref finally calls for the bell ending the match.

Regal comes out for the KOTR final match. CM PUNK comes out to face him. Punk is holding his lower back and cringing a bit.
They lock up and Punk is backed into a corner. Lots of rights and lefts to Punk. The ref backs him off and Punk comes back fighting. Knees and feet to Regal’s head and face. Regal comes back with a suplex. Regal covers for two. Regal stretches punks arms back with a knee in his back. Punk gets to his feet and out. They throw a lot of blows and kicks. Regal again pulls Punk’s arms back and forces him to his knees. Regal’s foot is in the center of Punk’s back. Punk is able to get up and out. A huge kick to Regal’s head. A back hand to Regal’s head. Punk covers for two. Punk tries to get Regal up. He gets him there, but Regal grabs the ropes and gets out. A huge knee to Punk’s head. Punk is down and trying to avoid the Regal stretch, but can’t Regal locks it in and Punk has to tap out.

Regal leaves the ring and backs up the ramp with a crazed look in his eyes. Video replay of the high points of the match. Regal climbs up and sits on the throne. He sits there glaring around.
