A humble abode? We didn't buy the fanciest house, it is in a pretty nice neighborhood, and we got quite a bit of square feet for our dollar. There were nicer houses, but nothing seemed like the right one until we saw this one which had almost all the features we really wanted in a house. Keep in mind this is our first house too, so we have to have somewhere to go next, can't have it all the first time around, right?
Since it would be tough to pay for more major repairs on an older home this home really works well since its only 5 years old, and was about as turn-key as you get, but that is a loaded term since home improvement never ends!
I think we did good. Its got a monster sized 3 car garage, 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, and a large-by-local-standards lot. Here in Colorado the average guy can't afford to water a large lawn since we live in such an arid climate...
