| What
This Site Is For
This site is
designed to help anyone generate and develop ideas for expository writing.
This means, whether you have an essay to write for your English class,
an editorial to write for your local newspaper, or just want to write a
letter to dear old Dad, the resources on this site can help you get started.
How It Came
About
This site was
born of exasperation--my own exasperation at how much time I took to produce
the first draft of anything I had to write. My frustration led me
to compile an array of links to writing help sites as well as invent a
graphic organizer to help me conceive and expand my ideas (hence the name
of this site).
How to Use
This Site
Come to this
site when you have writing to do. First, go to the “Idea Expander”
page and follow the directions in the “how to use this page” file. (These directions
outline a process that should get you through your first draft.)
Then browse the “writing resources” page. See if any of the resources
linked to it might help you revise your draft.
