This section will provide you some brief information about how to make the basic connections beween your PC, CD player and microphone etc.
You will have to use a wire which has 3.5 mm plugs at both ends. Is is freely available at any AV shop. You can make one yourself too. You will need 3 single wires and two 3.5 mm plugs. A stereo plug as a common connector and one connector each for the left and right channels. This is called as joint stereo. Be sure of the connections between the plugs. Connect one end of this wire to the Line-in of your PC and the other end to the Headphone Jack of your CD Player. Keep the volume of the CD player at an appropriate level and you're done! An analog cassette player can be connected to the PC in a similar manner.
To connect your CD player to an amplifier, you need a simple Audio Video cable. Connect one end of this cable to the Audio out of the CD player and the other end to the Line-in of the amplifier.
To connect a PC to an amplifier, you need a cable which has a 3.5 mm plug at one end and two AV plugs at the other end. You can also make your own wire. Connect the 3.5 mm plug end of this wire to the stereo out (headphone) jack of your PC and the other end with the AV plugs to the Line-in of your amplifier.
