This is a club offered by Bishop O'Connell High School for trivia-lovers who are also interested in academic competitions. We take part in the worldwide Knowledge Master Open and in the prestigous Spring and Fall Tournaments hosted by the University of Maryland, where we go up against such nationally ranked teams as Thomas Jefferson H.S. and Eleanor Roosevelt. The major event for which we prepare is the It's Academic T.V. Show (which airs on NBC 4). A three person team and alternates are trained for this televised competition against two other schools from the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. This club formerly hosted an 8th Grade Tournament for the elementary schools in the Diocese of Arlington. That has since been discontinued so as to allow more time to be devoted to the preparation of a T.V. Team for the current year and subsequent years and also to have fun in competitions!
