Q: How do I join?
A: Send an e-mail to [email protected].
We will let you know of upcoming activities so that you can attend one
and try it out. If you're interested in joining, you just pay the
$24 yearly membership dues and get added to the group's e-mail
list.
Q: How do I join a playgroup?
A: We offer two types of playgroups: Tater Tots and (open)
Playgroup. Tater Tots is intended for children under 2 and their
siblings. Playgroup is for all children. Currently, our
playgroups are open to all members of the group. Each week, you
simply RSVP to the person hosting the playgroup(s) of interest.
Q: Do I have to be a SAHM to join?
A: No, you do not have to be a stay-at-home mom. Most of the activities
are during the day to support those that do stay at home, but if your
schedule (e.g., work at night or work from home) allows, please join
us. We do already have members that are not "stay-at-home
moms".
Q: How do I know which local chapter to join?
A: The local chapters are based on geographical boundaries, so the
chapter you join is based on where you live. Area
Served has the boundaries for this chapter.
Q: Does everyone take turns hosting
playgroups?
A: Members volunteer to host playgroups. Sign-ups are usually done
quarterly.
Q: How much is the membership dues and what
does it cover?
A: The membership dues is $24 a year and renews on the anniversary of
your joining date. It covers the cost of our dues to the
International MOMS Club, membership pins, crafts, supplies, a donation
to the church where our monthly meeting is held, our community service
project and our year-end bash.
Q: Do I need to bring my child's toys and/or
snack to events?
A: It depends on the event. Playgroup hosts provide toys and
snacks. On park days or outings, you would bring your own snacks.
Q: Can I bring my child(ren) to the monthly
meeting and Moms Night Out (MNO)?
A: Yes, kids are always welcome at all events. Generally, most
members do bring their children to the monthly meeting, but do not bring
them on Moms Night Out. However, they are always welcome, even for
MNO.
