Untitled

What do you if after years of indecisive persistence,
after forever of not finding in he and she a glimpse of me,
if after the numbness of a cold silent dreary night,
you still feel that after all the miracles have been lost,
after all escapes have been sought,
after refuge and denials have lost meaning to abstraction,
and after life has faded away just as all hope,
and when all rainbows and dreams have abandoned you,
you find yourself taken aback by your own strength,
at how you can step forward still,
and not turn back,
not succumb to the past,
and move on to dream,
to achieve,
to pursue,
the reality of hope,
the essence of life,
the dream of a yearner.
