I speak for India & Pakistan, Israel & Palestine, Iraq & America, North & South Korea, China & Taiwan...for I have ceased to be controlled by physical geographical borders. I declare myself a Global Citizen. I refuse to recognize Governments that use wars for political mileage. My thoughs about war were different in the past.
Even as a 11 year old, I was aspiring to become a pilot in the India Air Force. My early inspiration to become a warrior was from black & white pictures (see pic on right side) of my dad in the India Army. Dad was an Indo-Pak War veteran. Patriotism was also pumped by children story books about Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagath Singh, Chtrapathy Shivaji, Jhansi Laxmi Bai, on and on...
Many a time I was on the verge of getting into the military (in one case, I was only 1 week from joining), but my parents used to prevent me from joining as they dont want to be apart from their loved one. One day, I met an army friend in my hood...I realized through his eyes, that I can serve my country ( at that time I was an Indian) better by being a civilian. Hence, I gave up all my attempts into joining the military.
