N.bicalcarata is a typical lowland species, which is found until 950m above the sea level.  It originates from Borneo and was described  already in 1873 by Hooker.
Nepenthes bicalcarata is quite easy to grow. However, it needs a constant high humidity level. Once mature, it doesn't like repotting.
This plant is absolutely unique. But I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have a greenhouse. It can reach 2m in its diameter !!! And it grows really fast ! (mine went from 15cm to 40cm in diameter, in 3 months…)
