We can’t live without authority. Because I feel that a certain amount of people were meant to do this and control; and a larger amount, like 95% of the people who we have to tell what to do and how to keep order.

DJ _ Infostream lives
in California, and was inspired by the original California Uber Alles,
by the Dead Kennedys, and a challenge from the college radio show
DemoListen (KXLU.com) to write an updated version. Oddly enough
the original is a rant against the very liberal Jerry Brown and worries
that kids will be taught to meditate in school. Of course the
punks hated hippies, so I wonder what Jello Biafra would have to say
about it now.
The election of Arnold
Schwarzenegger as governor of California is a spectacular demonstration
that democracy in America is now more of a brand name than an actual
democracy. Schwarzenegger's own campaign commercials touted that
he would figure out how to fix the problems AFTER he was elected,
basically admitting that he didn't know what was going on, and the
voters shouldn't worry about it, or look into it. Jefferson said
democracy depends on an informed electorate, and here we had an
admittedly UNinformed CANDIDATE, actively and insidiously providing a
role-model for uninformed unthinking voting based on sensational show
biz TV ad image, rather than issues. So voters who had no idea the
real deficit problem was the caused by a huge energy scam resulting from
deregulation of power companies tied to Cheney and the Bush
administration, and less Federal money coming to all the states as a
result of Bush's tax cuts to the wealthy, voted for Arnold
Schwarzenegger with no political experience, apparently on the basis of
his fantasy movie persona.
On top of that is the
stunning hypocrisy involving Arnold Schwarzenegger's steroid use.
This is not speculation, Arnold Schwarzenegger has admitted his drug use
and it is well documented in interviews, and anyone with any knowledge
of the "sport" of bodybuilding just laughs at the naiveté of
the public who thinks he just works out really hard.
Basically Arnold Schwarzenegger is the world's MOST FAMOUS DRUG USER, in
fact NO ON WOULD EVER HAVE HEARD OF HIM IF HE HADN'T USED ILLEGAL
DRUGS. DJ Infostream supports decriminalization of all drugs, so
maybe someday the USA, bastion of freedom, won't have the highest
per-capita rate of incarceration. BUT George Dubya Bush just gave
a State of the Union Address, in which he devoted a whole section to the
problem of role models who use steroids. It's blazing hypocrisy in
plain site, as Dubya and Arnold will no doubt continue to kiss each
other's ass, even though one of them is full of scar tissue from
thousands of steroid injections. On top of everything, and perhaps
most frightening of all is the amazingly ridiculous pretense that
the press, even in LA LA Land, is "free" or
"liberal" when an obvious issue of hypocrisy like this NEVER
comes to light, the questions are never even asked.
The result of the election of this "superhero" has been that
he followed exactly the same plan that the supposedly incompetent and
corrupt Gray Davis had proposed, passing the debt onto future
generations with a huge bond measure. The multi-billion-dollar,
criminal market manipulation of the Bush crony energy companies has been
covered up and forgotten. Two propositions have passed due to
Schwarzenegger's ad campaign which continue to make it impossible to
raise income taxes in California, that impact equally on rich and poor,
which then forces the raising of fees (like college tuition) and other
taxes which impact much more heavily on the not-uber-wealthy. Soon
you will see Bush and Schwarzenegger campaigning for each other, despite
their differences on steroids and many other social issues - why?
Because those hot-button issues are just smokescreen, con man
distractions, the only real issue is the continuing funneling of money
from the poor and middle class into the bank account files of the
irrationally greedy super rich and soulless corporations.
