COMPLICATED CONDOLEEZZA                                       index
talk a mile a minute lovely condoleezza
maybe I won't notice you're not saying anything
why you have to make everything seem so complicated
you need to make everything good seem so hard
spin the same sexy lie on a hundred channels
it's too hard to think, so nice to be seduced

Peace March Pics & Masters of War remix
DJ_Infostream woke up one Sunday morning to see Condoleeza Rice being interviewed on Meet the Press by the seemingly tough (yet somehow he never gets anywhere, hmmm...) Tim Russert.  Still half asleep it was impossible to tell if she really sounded like the adults used to sound in Peanuts cartoons (bwah bwah wah bwah bwah) or she was actually speaking English and somehow managing to look sincere, intelligent, forthright and cute without actually saying anything. Something like: they thought they were 100$ sure but found out they were 100% wrong but now they're 100% sure that the truth that they think they know now might still be wrong but they're pretty sure that it doesn't matter. "I didn't remember the memo" and more stuff like that.

You would think with all the technology and information available, 24 hour a day news on so many channels, that people would be better informed than ever.  But the strategy they're playing is pseudo-information OVERLOAD. It's a well established fact that the percent of Americans that supported the Iraq war was identical to the percentage that WRONGLY thought Iraq was responsible for 9/11.  Still as recently as Feb 04, here's Rice: "We now have opportunities before us to have a democratic and prosperous Iraq that can be linchpin of a different kind of Middle East, a region that is volatile in the extreme, and is the region from which the September 11 threat came."  Still misleading the public with her perky "That Girl" hairdo.  Well honeycakes, the "region" isn't the same thing as the source of terrorism.

Similarly, of 50 'smart' bomb missions aimed at targets US intelligence said were locations of Sadam Hussein or his top officials, there was not ONE success, although possibly hundreds of civilians were killed, this continued even AFTER Hussein had fallen from power.  The bombing that forced a premature start of the war was supposed to be on Hussein's bunker under a farmhouse, it turned out not only was there no bunker, they missed the farmhouse and blew up the farm.  It was recently reported that Australian pilots refused their orders to drop bombs because when they reached their US intelligence supplied targets, they looked nothing like what they were told, and innocent civilian and children's lives were at stake.

There are so many lies, so many CON game distractions, so she just keeps on talking, spewing pseudo-information into a corporate owned heap of spin and pundit-speak, until people just give up trying to figure it out, oh well, she's just complicated.  That's her job, to make it seem complicated, but it's not.  You don't drop bombs on people and children to save them.  You don't bomb someone because they're in the same "region" as the bad guys.  You don't admit every piece of intelligence you've had has been wrong and then go on acting like you have any intelligence.

You don't continue to use violence, whether it's terrorism or 'overwhelming' military power when the last century has proved that VIOLENCE DOESN'T WORK: US in Vietnam, USSR in Afghanistan, Israel and the 6 day war that never ends, terrorists that continue to kill and never get what they want. Violence is impotent compared to the stable democracy and positive social change accomplished by peaceful resistance: Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Solidarity in Poland, right up to the ousting of Milosovich.  Think what would happen if we put billions of dollars into supporting peaceful resistance instead of building more weapons of mass destruction (so far the only ones we know about for sure, are OURS).
