Palmistry

The Fate Line

According to Samudrika Shastra it is
called the Urdhwa or Indira Rekha. Western palmists, however, consider this as
the line of fate or of prosperity. Here we call it the line of Saturn because it
inclines towards the Mount of Saturn. One can answer questions like a person
being in possession of worldly goods from a study of this line.
It also indicates possibilities of marriage and love for an individual.
If this originates from the Line of Life it is considered to be very good. If it
originates from the middle of the palm near the wrist, a little away from the
line of life, it is good. But, if this line originates from a point very near
the Line of Life is not good at all. This line also originates from the Mounts
of the Moon and Venus, but its effect shows when if straightens and enters the
area of the Mount of Saturn.
According to Samudrika
Shastra, the area lying between the base of the middle finger and the wrist is
the area controlled by Saturn (See attached figure).
The Line of Saturn indicates possibility of wealth. But its effect is seen only
when there is another parallel line a little away, or when the Line of the Sun
originates.
The line which is close to the Line of Saturn is called the Kuthar Rekha (axe
line) which interferes with the success of efforts to gain the worldly goods.
