This division has been developed for economical,
competitive racing and is characterized as a FUN, LEARNING division.
If you take racing too seriously, this division is not for you. In
order to keep the division affordable, vehicles are subject to a claim and
race for trophies only. The top 3 point finishers will be
claimed at the conclusion of the season. At the discretion of
track officials, vehicles will compete both clockwise and
counter-clockwise. See "Claim Rule" for details. Drivers
registered in another class (Except for Pro-4’s) can not compete in this
division.
DEFINITION-The word "Stock" means unaltered
and as originally produced & installed for make and model. O.E.M.
components only, unless otherwise noted. If it doesn’t say you can do it
in the rules, you can’t.
BATTERY – One only, and must be located in engine
compartment. Must be securely anchored and cross-strapped.
Battery disconnect switch located on firewall, mandatory.
BODIES
- Must be stock & complete, including bumpers and all sheet metal.
Must remain stock in appearance.
- Destroyed panels must be replaced with stock parts. Sharp panel edges
must be rolled under.
- Inner door panels may be removed for door bar installation only. All
other panels must remain intact.
- All Upholstery MUST be removed except dashboard, which must stay.
Dashboard will be complete with gauges. Vehicle will start with stock
ignition switch.
- All doors must be welded closed.
- Inner body panels may not be removed except as noted.
- No sharp edges. Sharp panel edges must be rolled under
.
- All lights, trim, plastic, lenses, chrome and moldings must be
removed.
- Trucks- Bed must be completely intact and enclosed
. Deteriorated
beds must be replaced with similar material. Min. 3’ x 3’ quick
release (no bolts) access panel mandatory for safety.
- Firewall must remain stock and in stock position.
BRAKES – Factory stock, four wheel hydraulic-
all in good working order.
BUMPERS – Must remain stock including bumper
cover. No reinforcement of any kind.
CARBURETOR, INTAKE AND HEADS.
- Carb or throttle-body injection must remain stock for make and
model.
- Trucks only
may use 350 C.F.M.Holley 2 Brl. (#7448 only)
in place of OEM carb. Max. 1-inch carb adapter. No porting, polishing or
altering from stock condition. Choke horn may not be removed.
CONSTRUCTION - All vehicles will be built in a
safe, workman-like manner. Subject to track approval.
COMPETING MODELS – Domestic & Imported,
front-wheel and rear-wheel drive, compact cars and trucks.
No 4-wheel drive, convertibles or 2-seaters. Frame, Body, Engine and
Transmission must match as vehicle came off assembly line. No
mix-and-match. Street cars only. No race cars.
DRIVE SHAFT
- A metal strap is to be located in the forward 1/3 of the driveshaft
to prevent if from dropping to the track.
- Driveshaft must be painted white.
- Stock driveshaft only.
ENGINE
- Engine must remain completely stock as produced by manufacturer. 2.5
Liter Max (.030 overbore allowed). No aftermarket performance parts.
NO TOLERANCE
- No turbos. No Marine engines. No duel cams. No
quad 4’s.
- Max- 2 valves per cylinder.
- Compression ratio- 9.50 : 1 Max- NO TOLERANCE.
- Electric fuel pumps must shutoff automatically when engine
stalls.
- Must have working alternator.
- Closed stock air cleaner required on all engines.
- Engine must be in stock position.
- Engines are subject to inspection i.e. compression, cubic inch, carb
etc. at any time.
EXHAUST
- Stock exhaust only. No headers of any kind.
- Mufflers mandatory. 98 DECIBELS MAX. THIS WILL BE ENFORCED.
- Exhaust must exit behind driver and remain within and underneath
body panels and be directed downward towards track. No part of the
exhaust system may pass through driver’s compartment.
- 2" OD max.
FRAMES- Stock frame. No altering. Additional
reinforcement bars not allowed.
FUEL CELL/GAS TANK
- Stock gas tank must be securely mounted in trunk area. FUEL CELL
RECOMMENDED. Must be securely mounted to frame. Fuel lines
will not pass through driver compartment.
- Fuel cell must be centered & mounted between cab & rear end
or in trunk area. No filler tubes.
GLASS - All glass must be removed, except
windshield, which may be replaced with Lexan only. No Plexiglass.
IGNITION - Stock Ignition only.
MIRRORS - No mirrors allowed.
NUMBERS
- Must appear on both doors - 18" high with a min. 2"
stroke.
- Driver’s name will appear over both doors.
- Car number must appear on upper right hand corner of windshield.
6" stroke min.
RADIATOR
- Must be in stock position. Sheet metal can not be altered to
accommodate radiator.
- Must have 1/2 gal. catch can for overflow (or) overflow tube at
CENTER of windshield.
- Water is the only coolant allowed.
REAR ENDS / DRIVE AXLES
- Must be stock for make & model.
- No posi-traction, limited slip, locked or welded drive axles
allowed.
ROLL CAGE
- 4-Point roll cage required. No more, No less. Tubing: Minimum
1-3/4" O.D. with a minimum .095 wall. Must have knee-bar and
back-bar.
- Minimum of 3 driver side door bars. 1/8" steel doorplate
24" x 24" min. on driver’s side.
- Roll bars must be padded around drivers head area.
- Front and rear hoops not allowed. Bars may not pass thru
front or rear fire wall.
SUSPENSION - FRONT AND REAR
- Must remain stock for make and model, in stock location.
- No screw jacks.
- Dropped spindles not allowed.
TIRES/WHEELS –DOT street radials only. Max-
70 series. No recaps or racing tires allowed. Stock steel rims
only-14" max. All rims must be of same size and offset.
TOW CHAIN – FRONT AND REAR. Chain
only. Must be secured to bumper or frame. Chain loop must be large
enough to accommodate wrecker hook.
TRANSMISSIONS
- Must be stock for make and model
.
- Stock Flywheel and clutch components only. No after-market
components.
- Mandatory-
2" hole in bottom of bell housing to inspect
clutch/converter.
- No altering of transmissions.
- Must vent into overflow can.
- Transmission coolers allowed in engine compartment only.
CLAIM RULE
- To be eligible to claim, driver must be registered and have competed
in the previous 2 feature events of current season. The entire amount of
$400.00 cash (U.S. funds) shall be paid to the division inspector within
5 minutes of completion of that race. There will be a $200.00 back-out
fee if the vehicle owner decides not to buy the vehicle. Claim
includes the complete vehicle less seat, harness, fuel cell and fire
suppression system. Claim will be completed within 1 hour. If
claimee refuses to sell, he/she will lose points for the year &
winnings for the night, and will be suspended for the remainder of the
season. Only driver may claim, sell or refuse to sell.
- Any registered driver whose vehicle is running 4th through 10th is
eligible to claim 1st through 3rd. Claimer must be on lead lap and
running. Claimer must compete with claimed vehicle in next 4 calendar
events or will lose points for the season, be suspended for 4 weeks and
fined $250 unless vehicle is subsequently claimed.
- SWAP OPTION
-After inspecting claimers vehicle, claimee has option
of choosing the claimer’s vehicle plus $50.00 in lieu of claim fee. In
that event, both drivers will remove excluded items within 1 hour,
supervised by track inspector. Once swap option is invoked, claimer is
subject to same rules as claimee.
- Claimer must examine vehicle before equipment removal - once started,
sale is final. All claims will be completed at racetrack.
- Any sabotage to claimed vehicle will result in saboteur driver being
suspended from competition for 4 weeks, loss of points for the season
and fined $250.
- Any driver found to be making a claim or protest for anyone other than
himself will lose points for the season, be suspended for 4 weeks and
fined $250.00.
- Anyone owning more than one vehicle cannot claim his own vehicle if
one of his vehicles finishes in the top 3.
- No one driver may claim more than once during a season. Claimed
drivers may claim a maximum of 2 vehicles per season.
- Top 3 in points will be claimed by track at end of season
.
Vehicles will be sold with proceeds above claim fee being applied to point
fund. Track reserves the right to claim any vehicle. Swap option
does not apply. Track claim supercedes any other claim.
WEIGHT RULE
- No additional weight may be added to vehicle.
- In the interest of competition, track reserves right to adjust
weight if needed.
