How can you be in a ministry without first understanding it. You cannot bear a flag if your heart does not ache with the comprehension of it's symbolic nature. All christians should worship in spirit and in truth. Flags are symbols of truth and we should strive to be conspicious.
Historically, flags led armies into the battlefield. By keeping the standard held high, soldiers knew where to gather. It kept them all from becoming lost. Decorated material held high in the air lifted the souls of the tragically wounder and weary, forever reminding them of their cause.
Today, flags are the symbol of our love for Christ. A reminder deep within our hearts that the sufferings of this world are nothing compared to the joy we shall inherit in the next. Flags are the physical sigh of our devotion and love for the lamb that was sacrifised so that we might be free.
As a child, I recided the pledge of allegiance every morning in school. It was done so that we could remember the sacrifises that were made so that all of us could live free from religious persecutions, from foreign control, and to protect the lives of those we love. When Jesus Christ died on the cross at calvary he gave us a gift of love. Through his love we can conquer all the trials that we face every day of our lives here in this earthly realm.
So we raise our flags as an extension of pour praise, in remembrance to the sacrifise he made. We remember the lives that were destroyed for us but we often neglect to show our remebrance for the most extraordinary sacrifise that was ever made for us. So raise your standard high and wave unto the lord for he is worthy to be praised. There is a different type of war going on today and raising the flag is a divine symbol and weapon straight from the hearts of his people. Our battles are not of this world and to be victorious we must claim it and worship in the spirit. So it is good to worship with the symbolic truth of the flag as a reminder of sacrifise and to keep us always advancing in the war of the supernatural.
