Point Panic (South Shore)
This can be a great dive for everyone. With tons
of sea life to see, this is a great location for
both day and night dives. This is a popular
location and offers the chance to see cuddlefish,
reef sharks, and various types of reef fish. If
you are interested in a night dive this might be
the one for you.
Sea Tiger (South Shore)
This is a 168ft ship that was sunk in 1999 to nake
an artificial reef. The wreck offers swim-throughs
in the cargo holds, passageways, and stairwells.
Exploring the inner cabins and passageways is
restricted by welded bars. Although the wreck is
relatively new, it has attracted many different
types of sea life including squirrelfish and
filefish, along with the occasional reef shark.
Hale'iwa Trench (North Shore)
The Hale'iwa trench is about 100 yards wide and 100
feet deep. The seaward side has a lot of reef fish,
coral, and many nooks and crannies for eels and
lobsters to hide. There is also a coral pinnacle
that is home to several sea turtles. This is a deep
dive with lots of opportunity to see lots of marine
life.
Makaha Caverns (West Shore)
This dive is only about 45ft deep with most of
the dive being at 35ft. The caverns are formed by
two open-ended lava tubes. It almost appears as if
it were man-made. The site is perfect for a night
dive, and home to sea life like: octopus, passing
dolphins, white tip reef sharks, and sea turtles.
