Characters
Inuyasha: A half-demon from Feudal Japan who tricked Kikyo and told her that he wanted the Shikon no Tama so he could become human like her but instead took it and tried to escape with it.
Kikyo/Kikyou: Inuyasha's first "love." Kikyo was a shrine-maiden in Feudal japan who was tricked by Inuyasha. She caught him trying to steal the Shikon no Tama and pinned him to the Go Shinboku with one of her arrows, just before dying herself.
Kagome: A 15 year old school girl from present day Tokyo, Japan. On her birthday she was dragged down the Bone-eater's Well by a centipede demon lady and taken to Feudal Japan where she found Inuyasha. She had the shikon no Tama embedded in her body. She's also Kikyo's better half..i mean..reincarnation.
Shippo/Shippou: A tiny fox-demon who enters the series in about the 3rd or 4th episode. He travels along with Inuyasha and Kagome..sometimes interrupting some of their more "quiet times."
Miroku: Miroku is a perverted monk, who also travels along with Inuyasha and Kagome in their search for the Shikon shards. He's a very touchy feely monk, who gropes just about any women he finds. His favorite line is: "Would you please bear my child?"
Sango: A demon-exterminator who, when Inuyasha and the "gang" find her, is possessed by Naraku and thinks that Inuyasha killed her litte brother, Kohaku, but it was actually Naraku who killed him.
Naraku: He was once a man named Onigumo. He now has the body of a prince named Kagewaki and is about 23 years old. His main purpose in the series is to kill Inuyasha. He is still in love with Kikyo because Onigumo was in love with her and he was once Onigumo so..see the relationship here?
Sesshoumaru(aka Fluffy): Inuyasha's half brother. Unlike Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru is full demon. They had the same father but different mothers.
Kouga: Kouga is a wolf-demon, if I'm not mistaken, who wants Kagome. He constantly challenges Inuyasha for her and Kagome usually gives in and tells Inuyasha that he's being too mean to Kouga. He claims himself to be "Kagome's man" but she doesn't feel the same way for him. Inuyasha also claims Kagome as his "girlfriend." I'm not sure but I don't think Kagome has a problem with this.
