      The District V Directors Association is a five-parish organization made up of current and former band and orchestra directors, along with private instructors, all of whom share the desire to pass the joy of music on to their students. The Association is formed in direct cooperation with the Louisiana Music Educators Association. A traditional project of District V is the annual Honor Band  Clinic & Concert. 
    The  All-District  Honor Bands are a collection of the  most  accomplished students in the district, determined by competitive auditions. The  bands  meet  for  two  days  of  intensive  rehearsals  under  the direction of a guest clinician, culminating in a concert open to the public and free of charge. 
     The  Honor  Band  experience  is  a  chance  for  challenge  and  growth,  combined  with an opportunity for the students to meet and perform  with peers  from  other  schools.  It  is  a weekend full of music, teaming, learning, and fun.
     The students and directors of the district would like to thank you, the parents, for your support of the band programs in the schools. We hope you enjoy the concerts.
