Ms. Roussel 
Patricia Roussel earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree at Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, La.  She began her teaching career in North La., in Tallulah & Monroe. 
   Later she moved on to North Texas where she taught for 8 years.  While
in Sherman, Texas,  her bands earned consistent superior ratings at large group events. The band program received  two “Best in Class” awards in national competitions.
   Having taught 23 years now, Ms. Roussel is currently the band director at Gonzales Middle School in Gonzales, La. Her bands there have earned sweepstakes at all District & State Festivals since she arrived in 1995.  In 1998, she was selected as “Teacher of the Year” at Gonzales.   In 1999, La. Tech  selected  her  as “Bandmaster of the Year”.
     Patricia Roussel is active as an honor band clinician & festival adjudicator throughout the  state, This is her second season as conductor of the Louisiana Junior Youth Orchestra, which is sponsored by the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra.
     Professional affiliations include:  LMEA, MENC, the Louisiana Band Assoc., the National Band Assoc., & Phi Beta Mu.
