| HERB MOELLER UNSUNG HERO AWARD
This District Award is presented annually to the Lion who best exemplifies the following description: has worked tirelessly behind the scene to advance the causes of Lionism and his/her club. has volunteered regularly to serve on club committees. has given liberally of his/her free time to work on club projects and fundraisers. has worked on region and/or district projects. has served his/her community. cannot have received, within the past three years, a major district award such as "Lion of the Year", or an International President's Certificate of Appreciation or a District Governor's Appreciation Award. Application and Selection Procedure Application Application may be made by any Lions Club in District 37B on behalf of a worthy candidate. Applications, in the form of a letter, must be submitted in writing to the District Governor by February 15 to qualify for the current Lionistic Year's Award. Each application should outline in detail the club's reasons for nominating its candidate. Each club may nominate only one individual in any Lionistic Year. Selection The selection committee shall consist of the current District Governor and the two Immediate Past District Governors. The Herb Moeller Unsung Hero Award shall be presented to the winner each year during the District 37B Convention,. The award shall consist of a plaque specifically designed for this purpose, the cost to be borne by the District. |
