| based on the noise stylings of groups such as mindflayer, lightning bolt, melt-banana, geraldo made me kill, and liars, DISSONANCE DANCE incorperates the dying sounds of analog loops, guitars, phonographs, and feedback, with small doses of digital effects and loops added on live, pounding drums, and high-energy explosiveness. there are no songs, just noises. and all noises to date are (and most likely will be) recorded live straight to a 4-channel tape deck with one microphone. the tape is then mastered and rendered to mp3 on a pc. no digital effects or other noises are added afterwards, just equalized. the group consists of STAB (zac smith, of Brad's Afro, Bobegem, and ojos rojos) and THUD (james gung, of Rook to E7, Ishmael, and El Jefe). STAB runs electronics while THUD bleeds all over the drums. jill: i hate it! it isn't music at all! mikel: yeah...i'm not in the mood for post-music right now. sam: oh my god! that's terrible! kyle: hah hah hah! that is really abbrasive. robin: can you just stop? please? elliot: wow that's...terrible. |
