We then go to Mount Olympus and the Gates of Heaven. There is a party going on. There we see Zeus and Hera, and their new baby Hercules. Hercules is very strong; he manages to lift his dad up by just one finger! Hercules steals one of his fathers thunderbolts and has a little play. Zeus then turns round to everyone and thanks them for the wonderful gifts and he proceeds to make Hercules a gift from him and Hera. He grabs some clouds and makes a winged horse, named Pegasus. Then Hades, the God of the Underworld, marches in. Zeus takes the mick out of him asking him to join the celebration; otherwise hell work himself to death! ha! Hades however goes back to the Underworld to watch over the dead.
Here we see the Fates again. They sing the second part to the Gospel Truth. They tell us how Hades has an evil plan and he ran the Underworld. He was as mean as he was ruthless. He had a plan to shake things up - and thats the Gospel Truth!
Hades calls "Pain! Panic!" his two clumsy assistants. He tells them to let him know when the Fates get here. They already are here, and Pain and Panic didnt tell him, he is mad, and Pain and Panic turn themselves into worms as punishment. We then cut to the Fates. They are about to cut the thread of life of some poor unfortunate mortal. When they have cut it, an ear-piercing scream is heard and another soul comes to join the underworld. The Fates know EVERYTHING! - Past, Present and Future. Hades asks the Fates whether Hercules will mess up his plan to rule the Universe. The Fates say that they are not supposed to reveal the future. Hades turns on the charm and convinces them to tell him. They finally come round and tell him: In 18 years, precisely, the planets will align, the time to act will be at hand, the once proud Zeus will fall, and you will rule all, a word of caution to this tale, should Hercules fight, you will fail.
Hades then plans to turn Hercules mortal, so that Pain and Panic can kill him. Pain and Panic steal the baby in the middle of the night, much to Zeus and Heras dismay. They give him a potion, which turns him mortal. But two people turn up, and Hercules doesnt drink the last drop. These 2 people pick him up but Pain and Panic turn into serpents to kill Hercules, but he is very strong, and he ties them together and throws them. Pain and Panic start to get worried as they think that Hades will kill them when he finds out, but then it dawns on them, that he will only kill them IF he finds out!!!
We then got to the Muses who sing the 3rd and final part of the Gospel Truth/ Young Herc was mortal now, but since he did not drink the last drop he still retained his God-like strength, Zeus and Hera wept, since their son could never come home, theyd have to watch from afar. The boy grew stronger every day and thats the gospel truth.
We next see Hercules pulling a cart extremely fast, with his (adoptive) father into the village, because the donkey is not well. When they get there Hercules tries to join in with a game but the kids call him Jercules and think he is a freak. He somehow manages to knock down the arena when trying to catch a disk. All the people there call Hercules a freak and say that he is a menace.
Hercules starts the song "I can go the Distance." When he returns home, his mother and father tell him that they found him as a baby. Hercules decides to go to the Temple of Zeus to find some answers and to find where he belongs. On the way there he finishes the song "I can go the Distance" when he reaches the Temple he prays to Zeus and asks him who he is. A magical wind blows through the temple and the statue of Zeus comes alive. After much scaring Zeus manages to convince Hercules that he is Zeus son.
Hercules doesnt understand why he was left on Earth, but Zeus explains that he was stolen, he tells him, that if he can prove himself a true hero on earth he will be able to rejoin the Gods. He tells him to go and find Philoctetes. Zeus gives him Pegasus (now an adult horse) back and they set off.
As the planets are nearly aligned, Hercules goes into a Nymph Garden. He runs into Philoctetes there. He tells Phil he wants to become a true hero but Phil says he is retired, but Hercules convinces him to train him. Phil trains him with his many rules through all seasons. He turns the gawky teenager into a strong muscled adult. After everything they decided to go to the big Olive - Thebes.
Its here that we meet the heroine - Megara. She is being hassled by a massive monster. Megara doesnt seem too pleased when Hercules steps in to try and help. Hercules does manage to fight the monster off though, by head butting him! Afterwards Meg thanks him, and leaves him. Hercules in love with Meg, that is obvious.
We then find out that Meg is working for Hades. Hades wanted the monster for the uprising. She explains that it was all Hercules fault. Hades blows his top, he thought that Hercules was dead. Hades says that they have still got time to sort things out.
When Hercules and Phil arrive in Thebes, Hercules tries to help a bunch of people who have lost everything, but they dont want to know, because hes only an amateur. Meg comes rushing through the crowd talking about a terrible accident. Hercules rushes to a gorge, where two kids are trapped under a huge rock. Hercules lifts up the rock, which impresses the crowds, the kids turn out to be Pain and Panic. Hades is there, and he unleashes a huge monster for Hercules to fight. Hercules fights it, but the monster swallows him, but Hercules slices his head off from inside. Unfortunately, that head is replaced by 3. After it gets to 30 heads Hercules finally manages to defeat it by sending half a cliff on top of it. Phil, Hades and Meg think Hercules is dead because he is locked in one of the monsters hands. But Hercules manages to push the hand open and the crowd goes wild. Hercules is instantly turned into a famous hero with plenty of merchandise.

Hades, by now is very angry, he has sent everything hes got towards Hercules and nothing has come of it. Hades finally comes to the conclusion that he should send Meg to find out his weakness. When she finds out his weakness, Hades will set her free.
In the next scene Hercules is at the Temple of Zeus. Hercules thinks that it is the day when he can return to Mount Olympus, but Zeus explains that being famous is not the same as being a true hero.
Hercules is ready to give up in the next scene. Girls run in and start screaming. Hercules manages to escape though. Meg comes in and convinces Hercules to skive the day off with her. At the end of the day Meg moves onto the question of whether Hercules has any weaknesses. Hercules doesnt admit to anything, the pair nearly kiss until Pegasus and Phil come in and break it up.
Hades catches up with Meg, and asks her what Hercules weak link is. Meg tells Hades to forget it, but Hades is quick to remind her, that he owns her. Hades finally realises that Meg is the weak link. Phil sees whats going on, but he doesnt get the whole picture.
When Hercules is doing some training Phil tells him that Meg is a fraud but Hercules doesnt believe him and knocks him flying. Phil gets really upset and walks off. Hades comes in and makes a deal with Hercules. Hercules will have to give up being a hero with all his strength, for 24 hours, and Meg can go free, and Meg will not get hurt. Hercules agrees. The Hades reveals that Meg was stringing him along. The planets align.
Hades then sets the Titans free. They wreak havoc. He sends the Cyclops to find Hercules. Zeus throws his thunderbolts at the Titans but it doesnt work. Meanwhile the Cyclops challenges Hercules. Meg and Pegasus set off and find Phil. She tells him that if he doesnt come and help then Hercules could die.
Phil turns up and tells Hercules not to give up. Hercules manages to defeat the Cyclops. Then a column nearly falls out on him, but Meg pushes him out of the way and it lands on her. Hercules gets his strength back because Meg is hurt. Hercules sets off to fight Hades. Together, Hercules and Zeus manage to defeat Hades.
By the time Hercules gets back to Meg, she has died. Hercules goes down to the Underworld. Hercules and a three-headed dog come in. Hades shows Hercules where Meg is, and Hercules asks him if he can take Megs place.
As he is going down, the thread of life is brought out, and he is about to die, but as the Fates go to cut the string it turns gold, and Hercules has been transformed back into a god.
Hercules takes Megs soul back to her and she is brought back to life. A bolt of lightning comes down and a cloud takes Hercules and Meg up to Mount Olympus. Zeus tells Hercules that a true hero is not measured by the size of his strength but by the strength of his heart. Hercules gives up being a god so that he can be with Meg.
Back on Earth there is a huge celebration, the Gods hang a picture of Hercules in the stars and someone shouts out "Thats Phils Boy!"
Everyone has a happy ending, well except maybe Hades!
