Steps To Cool
~
by: Julia Stiles ~
Nobody
can make you cool. Your cool. Or maybe you're not.
Which is fine with us. Because it is
fundamentally uncool to be intolerant of the
uncool. Intolerance in general is uncool. And
Indifference in gerneral is cool, although apathy
is not. Britney Spears is cool, Christina
Aguleria is not. Adam Sandler is cool, Jim Carrey
is not. Which is not to say that we don't adore
and/or admire Christina Aguleria and Jim Carrey.
The Ability to make these fine distinctions is
cool. Although explaining them certainly isn't.
The
minutiae of Rock and Roll songs are cool. Or some
are. The way Bryan Ferry says the words "Oh,
wow," as if someone has just licked the
inside of his thigh in "Virginia Plan,"
is cool. Eminem's small, spontaneous, joyous
giggle following the first assertion that you
don't want to fuck with Shady' cause Shady will
fucking kill you - on "Kill You," is
cool. Noisy, sloppy sex sounds in pop music, like
those in Elastica's "Line Up," are cool.
Unlike
being hip, which suggests that you know whats
happening, and unlike being down, which suggest
you are in the crowd, being cool is a feircely
individual characteristic. Going your own Damn
way at your own Damn pace is cool. Trying to be
Oxymoronic. Asking people what's cool is uncool,
and telling people what's cool - as we're doing
in this very sentence - is even less cool.
However, breaking the rules is cool. So there's
always that out, and having an out is cool.
The
following pages are a complimation of the music,
television, film, writing and attitudes that we
think are cool. that some of these things are
contradictory of others is cool; that you might
not think they're cool is cool. Because knowing
your mind is is extremely cool.

Angel
Like You
~
By Robert M. Clark ~
To
meet another with your personality,
surely my life would be another fatality.
Two of you in one place,
could not happen on earth's face.To
I'd have to be in heaven to meet an angel of
two, In fact I'd have to be in heaven to
meet an angel like you.
Dreams
~
by: Robert M. Clark ~
Dreams
are the building blocks of life,
without dreams there is not life.
So if to dream is to live,
then to dream great is to live great.
To live great is to die happy,
to die happy is to have lived a full and complete
life.
Words
From Lady M.
"I
have nothing to say, and I am saying it and that
is poetry, for the poem is my life made flesh in
a work of art, and life is merely a work of art,
which to some will have significance, giving me
meaning to live, maybe, one more day to create an
effect and to cause results."
