| The key idea to this device is that the discs grab the flow from the blade edges and complete the job of flinging it outward - preventing the flow from slipping over the tips of the blades and wasting energy by swirling in the blade 'chambers'. Hopefully this device would also be immune to surge. It would have the same blockage problems as traditional Tesla devices, so inlet filters would be essential. It would also be quite involved to make, so the economics of application would be against it unless its use was absolutely necessary. |
