A real point of refeence for all the locals who love nature and open air sports, "Felice Piacenza" park (aka Burcina) consists of an entire hill near Biella.
What makes this park different from all the others is the extreme variety of the environments you can find: they can range from the informal garden to the natural wood, to the typical pasturages of Biella mountains; all this nature is surrounded by a gourgeous panorama that, as you walk higher along the trails, becomes more and more impressive: at the top of the hill you can have a 360° view of Biella and its surrounding mountains.
Thousands of people come every year in may-june to see the rhododendron in full bloom: an entire side of the hill is covered by various species of these plants and you can see this multi-coloured area from many miles away.
