DS8 - Delta Slade - Kickin' It Old School

Track List - Funkin' It Up, Wait No Longer, Everything's Gonna Be Alright, Acid Jam, Rolling Stone, Green Country, Delta Slade Blues, Funkin' It Up (Reprise)

Produced by Joe. All songs by Delta Slade except the bonus track.

After winning the first Battle of the Bands that was held by Josh Shaffer, the band was looking forward to using the free recording time they had won. However unforeseen difficulties made that never happen, and they turned to Joe of Dirty Sock Records. Difficulties had not left the band, however, because the four track recorder broke halfway into mastering the CD. Fans of the band should feel it was worth the wait, however, because the CD brings out the best in Delta Slade. Even though they have had to compete with the
fast beats and screaming of punk bands and the heavy pounding beat of metal in the Butler scene, they show their classic rock roots here, blending in influences from pop, blues, and funk. The catchy "Everything's Gonna Be Alright" will be on your mind for days, while the acoustic "Rolling Stone" and fun "Delta Slade Blues" add more diversity into the mix. The blend of introspective lyrics and tight music with Delta Slade throw it all into the blender. What's left? A sonic cocktail of good tunes that is Kickin' It Old School.

Here's a picture of the band Latchkey Kids, who made the record Latchkey Kids. What does this picture have to do with the CD? I don't know.
Produced by Joe, recorded at the Richardson's on four different occasions. The first session was in April, maybe? And "(Yeah Let's Go!", "Too Tired", "Sangria!," "Foo!" and "My Name is Bob" were recorded at that time. That's when the initial idea was initialized. The rest of the songs were recorded in June. The first session in June brought about the first Hardcore Song. The second comprises the bulk of the CD, and the rest of the Hardcore Songs. The third June session was in Eb tuning (!) and produced "Advertising World," "Devil," "Back to the Finish Line" (which was written as it was being recorded) "Placing Blame," "What Time is It?" and "The." There was probably some stuff I missed but that's how it broke down.
Borrowing its idea from a certain British band with a certain double album for the cover, the Latchkey Kids' first full album was a complete overhaul of the LKK recording process. Abandoning the polished sound of their first two EPs, the LKK decided to try and capture their live vibe, while not making a live recording. Instead, they recorded at practices in the Richardson home, and created the Latchkey Kids. Put together from four separate sessions, producer Joe meshed everything together into a big heaping pile of sound and called it a CD.

Yes, most of the songs you've heard before. This, however, is not a compliation of the previous Latchkey recorded work. Rather, it's a piece of plastic that encompasses the Latchkey Kids' first chapter in their stint as a band. The mixing is eccentric, the quality is gritty, and it's a piece of punk rock history you can own for yourself.

DS10 - Lemon Scented Death - Just for the Halibut EP

DS11 -
Somebody in San Diego

Track List: One, Two, Three, Four.

Somebody in San Diego is: Matt Analog - Vocals, Joe Latchkey - Guitar, Drew Philip - Drums

Recorded live on August 23, 2002. Thanks to L.S.D. to throwing the mad party, to Chelsea for introducing me and Matt to Drew, and for pressing record. Produced by Joe.

The inception of this band is documented on this record, it's more raw than anything, for it's a live recording of the first time the band played, but the chemistry is there... the connection between the guitar and drums, the soul-wrenching vocals, the spark as soon as the first fast octaves begin.

In a limited release.

Finally, an album from the B-Movie Stuntmen. Let me tell you, it was worth the wait. Six grueling songs of punk rock mastery, with fun and thoughtful ska tendencies, this band is as good on disc as they are live. And the CD looks nice too. You can tell they're really dedicated to their music and fans. So, let's have some pie, go skate, and have a good time. For purchasing info, go to http://www.geocities.com/bmoviestuntmen.
DS13 - Billy Likes Soda - Oh My God, I Am the Winner
Track List:
1. Every Day
2. Prom King
3. Something to Say
4. Graduation Day

They are:
Nick Salkeld - Vocals, Slater - Guitar, Big Dumb Nick - Guitar/Vocals, Levi - Bass/Vocals, Joe - Drums/Vocals

Recorded and Produced by: Joe Kasprzyk

All songs written by Billy Likes Soda
You can say that with Oh My God, I am the Winner, Billy Likes Soda accomplished what some might have felt lacked in the Snack Pack EP. It's short. But the four strong songs that are featured on the disc paint a clear picture of what the band has accomplished since its initial musical exploits. What, you might ask? Great punk songs with lots of lyrical sensibility. Fun times. Raw performance. Orange soda. "So many memories have passed..." and Billy Likes Soda has a great way of putting these memories on disc. The recording is a little more clear this time, and, though not perfect, presents a great piece of punk rock from Butler, PA. For the low price of a dollar and the classic cover that is both fun and a little disturbing at the same time, you can't go wrong with Oh My God, I Am the Winner.
