Delta Slade's new CD -
Kickin' It Old School, is documented here!

Delta Slade was unofficially formed a few years ago when Jordan "J-Dogg" Auth (Lead Guitar/Vocals), and Eric "Spizatch" Bresnehan (Drums) started playing music and writing rap songs together. In the fall of 2001, Jared Negley (Bass) and Nick Twerdok (Rhythm Guitar) were added to the lineup and Delta Slade did their first gig about a week later...badly. After only a few months together, the band won the first of the Apparition Food Court Battle of the Bands that have been popular recently, and began getting much attention for their unique blend of classic rock, funk, and blues. They have performed, along with the Latchkey Kids, as an opening act for popular Butler act Mind's I, as well as at many other shows, contests, and charity events.

Recently, Delta Slade recorded their debut EP with Dirty Sock Records, but the major point of notoriety for the band is their creative live show. It always includes cover songs from everyone from Hendrix, to Weezer and Stevie Wonder, as well as improvised jams and great guitar solos. Also, be sure to find at the live shows many really bad jokes, told by J-Dogg and Spizatch, usually.

Despite usually performing with hard rock and punk bands, Delta Slade constantly experiments with new styles of music, such as reggae and jazz. The band doesn't care that some call the music "stoner rock." To them, it's all about having fun and being different.

An important point in the band's history was when they cut a record with famed producer Joe.
