| Round 1 Vs Seven Hills: 22-10 Loss On the players effort I feel we have alot more fitness to work on and I feel that our fitness and not moving up in defense turned around our 10-8 lead at half-time. I also feel our options in the 2nd half when attacking the opposition line was wasted with too many fowards, but we will fix that at training. A good game from Todd and Mitchell moving the players around the field well, also Jade with 18 tackles and 16 hit ups. And some of the new boys Danny with 16 tackles and 7 hit ups, Bradley with 15 tackles and 7 hit ups, also some of his tackles were valuable try saving tackles. To the rest of the boys a good effort, we dont have enough space to mention you all. Tries: Dany, Mitchell Goals: Jade 1 from 2 Thanks to Scott Graham and Gary IAN (coach) Round 2 Vs Merrylands: 20-18 Loss The first half of the game is what cost us the game. I will keep telling you all to move up in a straight line in defence, when we started doing that we forced mistakes and scored a try off one. All players need to listen to me about certain things on the field such as too many high tackles and not sliding in defence. Again all our tackles were done by 3-4 players- Frank 7, Mitchell 12, Todd 10 and Jade 13. you showed all of us what happens when you listen, we score threee tries. Good game from Frank, Shawn, Colin and Stephen with a deput try. "Keep on listening boys when we do you go forward", like being down 16-0 at half time and scoring three tries to one in the second half. Tries: Colin, Brad and Stephen.L Goals: Jade 3 from 3 Thanks to Scott, Graham and Gary IAN (coach) Round 3 Vs Hills District (1): 44-4 Loss It is the same old story, making the same mistakes. Not marking up in defence and not moving off the line. But when we did move up the opposition lost the ball because we put pressure on them but failed to take advantage of this because of poor ball handling, then we had to defend again. Our high tackles and penalty count 8-1 didnt help our cause either. Thats all on the negative side. When we used one of our simple moves called "heads" we scored a try and nearly scored another but failed to ground the ball. It is really good to see that you do listen and try these options. Two of our smaller players Frank and Shawn.K showed their tackling and direction on the field is very good. Good games from Bradley- great talking from behind 11 tackles, also good games from Danny 14 tackles, Scott 10 tackles, Mitchell 11 tackles, Todd 17 tackles, Frank 13 tackles and Jade 21 tackles. Majority of these tackles were done in the second half, it was a very good defensive effort against a well drilled side, "Keep on listening boys" Tries: Steven.S Goals: Jade 0 from 1 Thanks to Scott, Graham and Gary IAN (coach) Round 4 Vs Toongabbie: (match yet to be played) |
