Season's Getting Closer Feb 11, 2003

With the opening practice session set for Saturday April 5 at Delaware Speedway, the Verhoeven Motorsports #77 team is hard at work preparing their CASCAR Sportsman. The offseason brought some changes to the #77 team, including a shop expansion and some chassis updates.

Other than the changes to the car and the shop, the team and its focus will remain relatively the same for the 2003 season, as in 2002. The team will focus on trying to win races and run for the Delaware Speedway as well as the Sportsman Series championship. The Carquest Sportsman Series, this season, will run at Cayuga 2000 Speedway, Ottodorm Speedway (Ottawa), and Autodrome St. Eustache (Montreal), and the 77 team plans on running each of the manditory 150 lap races at each of these tracks. With the changes to the chassis and the knowledge gained from the previous seaon, the 77 driver and crew are confident the their Pontiac race car will be a consistent front runner.

The Verhoeven Motorsports team would also like to welcome back all of the sponsors who are returning as well as the returning crew members, along with a few new additions to the crew lineup.

Again this season Verhoeven Motorsports will try and keep you, the fans, up to date on how our season is progressing with periodic updates on this site.

Looking forward to the 2003 season and support from all of the fans.
