Silent Tears
I
used to cry silent tears
as I slowly starved over the years.
Reaching
out..being rejected
giving until I thought I had no more to give
Feeling
so helpless
Trying to go on with the meager scraps
thrown out when he felt me slipping away
Always
fearing he would find someone...
Finally not caring...not afraid anymore
actually wishing he had left
so I don't have to
How
did this happen...do I want to live this way?
Why Did I wait so long?
Him
in contol of everything
me bowing..my soul fading away
I
find myself slowly learning
what it means to have free will

calmness steals over me...
a new dawning.. beginning...
