Khatchatorian: Suite from "Gayaneh" Soloist: Husam Shehata, Violin Conductor: Kamal Helal Kamal Helal Hussam Shehata The young Egyptian violinist Hossam Shehata started his musical studies at the age of 7. He graduated from the school of the Cairo Conservatoire in 1997. In spite of his age he can look back on a row of international performances. E.g. he participated in Poland in the international competition for young violinists in 1997 and in Moscow in 1998. In Cairo he appeared as soloist in the Opera House and in the German and French cultural centers. He recently received the 1st prize at the competition of the ministry of culture. Soloist: Hassan Moataz, Cello Conductor: Mustafa Nagui Hassan Moataz The young Egyptian cellist Hassan Motaz has been taking lessons at Prof. Ayman El-Hanbouli in the Cairo Conservatoire since the age of 9. In 1994 he won the cello competition at the Cairo Opera House. He used to play with different Egyptian orchestras but also gained international experience by touring Europe and the Middle East. In 1997 he played with the Schleswig-Holstein Orchestra which was founded by the outstanding conductor Leonard Bernstein. |
