This new season on Digimon starts off with three new faces; Takato, Henry and Rika, the Tamers. Digimon is a card game and an anime in thier world but the truth is, Digimon are real, living amongst them in the digital network.

Takato is a really huge Digimon fan and played the card game most of the time with his friends; Kazu and Kenta. He usually daydreams about digimon and wished that he could have his own partner. One day, Takato was cleaning up his digimon card bow when suddenly he came upon an unusual card; A Blue Card. He slashed it through his card reader which, then turned into a D-Arc. He was excited but he also had to go to school. When he got home, he tried slashing his drawings through the card slashed. The notepad got stuck but then started reading the data one page at a time. Thus, an egg appeared on his D-arc screen. The day after, the egg hatched but Takato couldn't see where the hatchling was. He searched and searched and finally found his digital partner, Guilmon. From then on, they became an unbreakable duo and created a powerful freindship. Henry met Takato when Guilmon was causing trouble at school. He then became friends with Takato. Rika on the other hand, decided to fight against Takato but after a few encounters, they too became friends.

This trio fought and deleted the Digimons that realized in the real world. Soon, Yamaki and his workers used Juggernaut to delete all the digimons but the plan back fired and opened a whole in between the digital world and the real world. This ended up with Devas coming to the real world and tried to destroy the tamer's digimon. One by one the tamers digimon successfully defeated the devas. The found out that they needed to go to the digital world to fix things so the real world would be ok. Jeri is another friend of Takato's and got Leomon as her partner half way through the anime. The foursome ventured into the digital world with Takato's friends; Kazu and Kenta. They learned alot in the digiworld. Soon, Takato, Henry and Rika learned that their bond with Guilmon, Terriermon and Renamon were so strong that they could digivolve together and fight with their partners. Using the ability to biomerge, they fought thier way through the digiworld, realizing that their enemy was the D-Reaper and not the Soereign digimon. Ryo joined the team as he met them in the digiworld. Suzie; Henry's sister too joined the team as she was pulled into the digiworld, partnered up with Lopmon. Kazu was teamed up with Guardromon and Kenta was partnered up with Marineangemon. The Adults on the real world sent Grani to fetch the children back to the real world. The D-Reaper too went to the real world and caused lots of damage.

Knowing that they were now not data, the tamers was down that they could not biomerge with their partners. Alice enters with Dobermon and gave them the powers from the digiworld allowing them to biomerge. With determination, they fought the D-Reaper, trying to save Jeri...
