These highly textured mixed media paintings are meant to give a sense  of movement, intensity and luminousity. Although many of my cat portraits and representational  paintings include elements of mixed media, these 'ribbony' pieces further expand into mixed media through gold &  copper leaf, acrylic paint, metal flake, paper & glass beads.
