| December 7th, 2000 Okay, I haven't written in a long time again, and I'm sorry. So sue me. I've been off work now for about two months. My next cycle we finally were able to do injectable meds again, and it was a major disappointment. After injecting a total of 6 amps a day for 4-5 days, I had developed 1 follicle. One. Blech. Apparently, there are some women who just don't respond to the injectable meds. So, we put me back on Clomid this cycle, along with Viagra suppositories, estrace and trental. I had a follicle check on cd13, and I had 6 follicles, 13.5, 13, 12, 12, 10 and 9. We go back for another check on Friday, where we hope to see all mature and ready to go. It has been very difficult to try to accept the fact that I don't respond well (or at all, depending on how you look at it) to the injectable drugs. This puts a major crimp in our future plans, and may bring an end to our medical path sooner than anticipated. With this in mind, we are persuing adoption. We have an introductory meeting in January at the Independent Adoption Center in Pleasant Hill, and hopefully will be beginning paperwork before too long. I'll try to keep you posted, and be better about checking in and adding to this journal. |
