Today is February 23, 2002


Good afternoon. Another boring day around here, boring, yet peaceful. My tummy feels better so that is good. Well, it looks like I will be weighing in Monday after all. Well, unless the votes suddenly change, which I doubt. I am actually pretty excited. I mean the whole reason why I didn't want to weigh in was because, even after all of my efforts, the scale would not budge, and at one point actually went up a pound or two. It was getting very discouraging and I thought it would be best if I took a vacation from the scale. Well, now I am missing it! I am pretty sure the results will be fairly good, I will be happy with any kind of loss though.

I haven't been able to make it to the YMCA for 3 days. That is okay though, I have still been doing exercises. So actually, I've only taken one day off and that was Wednesday. Yesterday I didn't do a whole bunch, actually, the day before I didn't either, but I did them and that is what is important to me right now.

I got the part for my treadmill that I needed. You know, the part they said was on back order until mid March. Hmm I guess they pulled one out of their ass or something, because it came in the mail yesterday. After using the ymca treadmills then using mine, I realized just how much mine sucks. It's really narrow and it is on this huge damn incline that is NOT adjustable. I've been propping books up under the back end just to level it out. Plus, you have to hold on to the handles or it will not move. It's hard to explain really, but whenever I let go, so that I could swing my arms around a little, the damn thing stopped moving. I guess it will have to do though, on the days I can't make it to the Y. Well, that be all folks.

Aerobics: 20 minutes Richard Simmons "Dance your pants off".
Lower body toning: 20 minutes Richard Simmons "Toning downtown"

Today is February 21, 2002


Helloooo. I am very excited. I got my new oven today. I can't wait until tomorrow so I can cook in it.

I didn't make it to the YMCA today. I really wanted to go, but I have been feeling sick to my stomach all day. It actually started last night. I hope it goes away soon. I actually fell asleep at 9:00 pm last night and I don't normally go to bed until around 1 or 2 am. I did do some crunches and a few other floor exercises today, but that made my tummy hurt even more. I've spent a good deal of time in the bathroom today. :( Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow so that I can go.

My nephew Derek is 13 years old. He is my brothers son. His mom committed suicide when he was 4. After his mother died, he went to live with his grandparents on his mom's side. My brother wasn't able to take care of him at the time, due to personal reasons. Anyway, he was always normal weight until then. Now he weighs around 250lbs. His grandparents have tried diet's, but his grandmother is large too and it's kind of hard to have control over someone else's eating when you can't even control your own, I imagine. Derek's grandfather passed away last night. I am really worried about him now. I mean, I always have been, but especially now. He's had a hard life and I know that it will only be harder for him if he stay's overweight.

I'm sorry for the depressing entry tonight. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have something better to write about. Oh, before I forget, I updated the link page so check it out. Take care.

Today is February 20, 2002


Hello everyone. I won Fred's contest yesterday. I must admit, I spent a good hour trying to find the answer. I am looking forward to receiving my prize. Thanks Fred!

My husband would NOT leave me alone this evening. He wanted to take the kids and I out to eat. I really didn't want to go because I knew I would eat something I shouldn't. We did end up going and I ordered beef fajita's. I am not sure how fattening they are. I feel terrible now and ready to kick my husbands ass.

I took the day off from exercise today. I am going in the morning. Just taking one day off, I feel like it's been a week. I'm not sure about weighing in on Monday now. P'zone last night and fajita's tonight. Might be best to wait. I will still do it though, if the votes keep leaning that way. Speaking of which, if you haven't already, please vote below.

Today is February 19, 2002


Just a quick morning update for now. I want to weigh myself so bad. It's driving me nuts. I hate to go back on what I said so I am wanting to get some opinions. Please take part and vote below. I will run it for 3 days then I will do whatever has the most votes. I will update recipes and exercise later on.

***Update***I am officially in the "12 weeks to fitness" program. Which really means, I will be doing the same thing I have been doing, only now I will keep track of it on a little pink card. Can you feel the excitement within me? hehe. I had my free meal for the week, tonight. P'zone pizza from pizza hut, damn it was good. I am going to keep this voting poll up until Monday I have decided, instead of only 3 days. Makes more sense that way, since Monday is my weigh in day normally. I will check the final results on Monday morning, if more people think I should go ahead and weigh in, then I will. If not, I won't. Thanks for the few people that have taken part already. :) This poll is all in fun by the way. Not a serious thing, just trying to have a little interaction on my page. Plus, I really do want to weigh in, but I hate being a flake and going back on what I said, so I will let you all decide. :) Take care everyone.

Today is February 18, 2002


Hi everyone. Just got done eating dinner (Roast & Corn) so I thought I'd jump on and update real quick. I added another recipe tonight in the pizza section. I really hope at least someone uses these recipes, hate to think that I am wasting my time. Let me know if you make something, I'd really like to know.

Not a whole lot to say tonight. I told my husband that I think I am possessed. He asked me why, I said, "Because I got up at 7:30 am this morning and started doing floor exercises." It's kind of addicting huh? This is the first time since I was 13 years old that I've worked out and exercised 5 days in a row. I think I am going to do it again tomorrow, then I am going to take a day off. Maybe I will just do some stretching on that day. Something relaxing. My abs are killing me today, but in a good way I suppose. So... I guess that's all today.


Exercise


Treadmill: 30 minutes/1 mile.
Exercise bike: 6 minutes/1.5 miles.
Weight lifting: 20 minutes/20 reps each.
Floor exercises: 15 minutes.
