Just a quick update before bed. I've been working on getting rid of all this water retention this week. My legs have been badly swollen for quite awhile now. I've been drinking a gallon a day of crystal light for the past 3 days now. I've been peeing like crazy, so I guess it's working. My legs are not nearly as bad either. I'm hoping to see a slight loss in the morning. I really hope to break into the 230's. I will update my weight chart first thing in the morning. Night Night.

I hope everyone has had a good week. Mine has been kind of crazy. Next week I'm sure will be even more so, since the kids will be out of school all week for spring break.

I picked up a copy of "First for women" today. For those of you that don't know, it's a magazine. They usually have some big cover story about dieting and such. I usually read it, but never plan to follow any of the diets listed, most seem... not for me. Well, this one said, "Flip your fat-burning switch instantly, and drop 10 lbs this week". So, I thought what the hell, I'll check it out. The diet actually makes sense to me. It kind of touched on the same issue I was talking about on my last entry, Balance. I truly believe, if you balance what you eat, you will lose weight pretty easily, as long as you stick with it, which is the hardest part for most. Anyway, if you eat a certain amount of carbs in the morning, and a certain about of proteins in the evening, you balance out the way it enters your body, which turns on your fat burners. I want to give you an example of a typical days eating that they have listed in this magazine.

Pre-Breakfast - 1 orange.
Breakfast - 1/2 cup oatmeal, sprinkled with 1 TBS. brown sugar.
Morning snack - 2 Fig cookies.
Lunch - 1 cup of brown rice - or one baked potato, topped with 1 pat of butter.
Afternoon snack - 2 long stalks of celery stuffed with 2 TBS of peanut butter.
Dinner - 1 Skinless chicken breast, baked or broiled, 1 generous green salad with extra-virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar dressing and 1 grilled tomato, halved and sprinkled with grated parmesan cheese.
Bedtime snack - 2 Scrambled eggs with 1 oz shredded cheese.

Now I don't know about you, but that menu sounds very doable to me. You can supposedly drop 10 lbs in a week. I am going to give it a try. Seems like a simple menu. I've seen some that just aren't very realistic, for me anyway. I will probably wait until I go shopping next week, so that I can buy everything I need. We already went shopping for this week on Thursday. You all will be the first to know if it works.

I bought a puzzle tonight. I was really bored and I wanted to find something to do that my whole family could enjoy as well. It's a really cool puzzle. 750 pieces. It has a picture of a part horse, part man on it. There is a woman on his back. Lot's of bright color's. I am going to seal it after we finish it, so that I can hang it somewhere. Maybe I'll take a picture and post it after I'm done. I am really into mythical creatures. I especially love mermaids. Okay, enough for tonight. See you all tomorrow, I'm pretty sure anyway.
