| Today was another dreary day! It just came down in buckets this morning. Hard to dampen my spirits though, as I started holidays this weekend and it is only 4 more days till we leave for the Havelock Country Jamboree!! Mike and Newt went up early this morning to stake out a site for us and then came all the way back to take the trailer up. So here I was scurrying back and forth from house to trailer in the pouring down rain, cleaning up so it didn't have to be done when I get there Thursday. The kids have been using it all summer so they had lots of junk in there to get rid of. Turns out we were able to get a site close to the stage and in the trees, thank goodness, right next to my cousin Peggy. I have been making a list of all the things we need to take. There are no water or hydro hook-ups, but the trailer has a stove and fridge that runs on propane. I did a check of some great websites that suggested what not to forget when you are headed out camping, along with some great, easy meal ideas. If you've got any secrets that you'd like to share with me, please send me an e-mail, I would greatly appreciate any help I can get, lol ! :o) |

| Yesterday we spent most of the day at Colin's soccer tournament. Unfortunately, they didn't make the playoffs for today :o(, but they had fun anyway, and all received a medal with thier names and the year on it. Now all of the kids have decided they would like to sign up for soccer next year, lol, since they have seen all the fun that Colin had this year. That could be quite a challenge lugging 4 children off to soccer practices and games!! There were over 960 children registered here for soccer this year and they are expecting well over a thousand for next year. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I can't believe it's been this long since I last wrote! Man how time flies when you're havin' fun!! Yes, it is back to school time already, amazingly enough! The first day back I had a 6 y/o with a toothache first and then that turned into a stomach ache but by the time it came to get on the bus I guess Colton forgot all about it cuz it went fine, thank goodness. Then I found out when he got home that he is in a split level SK/1 class and there are none of his friends from last year in his class :o( This worries me a little because he doesn't make friends easily (like his mommy) and I felt so sad for him that I wanted to cry when I found out. I hope he does o.k. Thing is there are 2 split level classes of SK/1, which doesn't make sense to me at all!! When the SK's are only there every other day, it must be either a very small class when they are gone or a very large class when they are there! Colin was dreading his first day because he said he has a mean teacher. He says that on any given day in the detention room, at least half of the kids are from her class, LOL!! He would know too, cuz he's spent his share of doin' time there trying to catch up on homework that he didn't finish! Today he says they are the only class who are allowed to have an afternoon snack though cuz the teacher is hungry by then, so it can't be too bad! |
