the Buried Spaceship
plot
Dart and his crew are assigned to oversee the transference of ice cubes
from Pluto to solve the drought problem on Mars. When they attempt
to take off from the planet, Slim discovers a fault with the Galasphere
and they are forced to land on Pluto again to repair the fault. However,
the area they land in is currently being mined with a laser beam and the
Galasphere falls through the ice into a disused mine shaft. Dart
leaves the Galasphere to explore, but when he returns he discovers that
it has fallen deeper into the ice. He finds a way out
of the shaft and contacts Husky and Slim. Something Slim says reminds
Dart of the transmitter that receives heat from Mercury. He directs
the heat beam at the area where the Galasphere is buried and it rises to
the surface.
notes
This episode comes 10th in the video release order, whilst the
Fires of Mercury comes 16th, which causes a continuity error, as the heat transmitter appears in this episode before it is invented in the Fires of Mercury.
