the Wandering Asteroid

plot
Space Headquarters discovers that an asteroid is on a collision course with the Martian capital Wotan and will destroy the entire city if it reaches the planet.  Dart and his crew volunteer to take a freighter loaded with dynamite to destroy the asteroid.  After a delay caused by a problem with the freighter, they plant the explosives in the asteroid and it is destroyed.

This was first episode of the series to be aired in the London (Rediffusion) region, but is not the pilot episode.
