This State Park is one of the visitor attractions in the area.
A part of it is set as an emergency landing area for the space shuttles.
This was part of the test site area for some of the original "Atom Bomb" testing in World War 2, and is just outside of the White Sands Proving grounds.
Located between Las Cruces and Alamogordo on Highway 70-80.
