My name is Kelly; I am from Wisconsin. I recently returned from a trip to Peru, where I studied Spanish and volunteered in an after-school center designed to keep kids in school and of the streets.
Through IICD, I will be travelling to Guatemala to work in Child Aid a community development project that focuses its efforts on improving the lives of the children.
I will be working with the community vegetable gardens, health seminars, and kids clubs. Currently I am looking into a solar energy project to enhance current efforts to create sustainable development.
Bonjour!
My name is Nathalie, I am 25. I come from Burgundy in France, where I did graduate in Biology.
I choose to become a DI, because I think that there are a lot of people to meet out there. And with this people we have a lot to share, and a lot to learn from each other...
In July 2003, I will go to Cuilapa, in Guatemala, and and I will work on the Health and Environmental Lines of the Child Aid Project. Working with local people, we will organize some medical journeys from villages to villages, offering people access to consultation, we will lead some basic Hygiene and Nutrition campaign, and some HIV/AIDS prevention campaign .
Creo que trabajando juntos, podemos cambiar poco a poco el mundo.
Hasta luego
