Project in Nicaragua

Hola! This is Nami from Central America. I am from Japan, 27 years old and I love kids! When I went to Honduras and Costa Rica last year, I saw a lot of street children. That brought me here.
My preparation period at IICD passed so quickly. I got 12 brothers and sisters from my team, DICA! I believe our team was the best team at IICD ever!!! Fortunately we finished our fundraising in time and also finished our preparation period at IICD.
I left the United States on July 18th and came to Cuilapa, Nicaragua to see the project in Guatemala. Now I am just following the former volunteers, Ajay, Julien and Hiroshi, but I will move down to Nicaragua on 24th then finally be in the project!
I am enjoying the life in Central America. Eventhough we get water only three times a week, no hot water nor lights in the bathroom, our house here is much better than what I expected. People are frinedly and children are so curious about anything.
The only thing that makes me nervous is... the language! To work as a Development Instructor, I need to know a lot of technical terms but there are a lot of words I don't even know in English neither. I am trying not to be too nervous but, of course, doing my best to be able to work efficiently in Nicaragua.
