A friend of ours, Ted Rethmeier, e-mailed us that he was spending a few weeks in Yuma with an old girlfriend, Janice. Janice was Ted's first high school date. Janice's husband, a cousin of Ted's, passed away a few years ago. Awhile back, while Ted was in his home town of Neligh NE visiting his folks, (both in there 90s), he and Janice began to renew their friendship. Janice has had a Park Model in a retirement community in Yuma for several years. They invited us to come and spend the weekend with them. Yuma is about 180 miles west of El Mirage.
While we were there we all took a trip to Mexico, which is only a few miles from Yuma.
This is a picture of Mexico's version of a Mall. Actually it's more like a flea market. Buying things there is a real trip, you bargin for everything. Di bought a pin that started out at $45 and ended up at $20. We also bought some medicine there. They have great prices. What would cost us about $450 for four medications in Walgreens cost only $80 in Mexico.
Of course we had to stop at the Cantina for a Margaritta.
