While in the Yuma area we took a short trip west to the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area in California. These dunes were the setting for several "Star Wars" scenes.
They make you feel like you are in the middle of the Sahara Desert.
Except for all the dune buggies and dirt bikes.
