At the end of the racing season the PEM Boat People had their First Annual Awards Banquet. Those outstanding racers who managed to garner the most points with their daring escapades, during the season were honored.
Some of us even wore our formal racing uniforms.
The winners were; First Place - Jon Noyes, Second Place - John Redler, and Third Place - Bill Snow. Jim Rakers came in last place, but promised to practice hard during the off season, and do better next year.
