Jim's old Air Force Squadron, the 98th Air Refueling Squadron, formed a Vets Association a few years back. This year's reunion was held at Sun City Grand and Luke AFB, just west of Phoenix. Jim's whole cockpit crew attended. This was the first time in over 40 years that they have all been together.
The reunion dinners were held at Luke AFB Officers Club. This is Jim's crew and their wives. Lots of old "war stories" were told around the table that night.
We had the crew out to our place for a cook-out one evening and told some more stories about our experiences together. This is a picture of the crew in their relative positions in the cockpit. Jim's flying, Hank is looking for that B-47 that went down, and Dick and Bill are doing nothing (as usual).
One of the tours during the reunion was to Downtown Phoenix. This is a view of Camelback Mt. The camel's head is to the right and it has two humps.
One of the stops on the tour was the Heard Museum. It has a wonderful collection of Southwest Native American Art.
