Issue No. 2 September 2, 2003 Visit Our Class Web Site |
| Dear
Parents, It was so nice to see all of you at Parent Orientation. I hope I was able to answer all of your questions and provide you with a good understanding of what we will be learning this year. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. You may call me here at school, send a note with your child, or e-mail me at [email protected]. I am also available most days after school by appointment. As I mentioned at orientation, we have a class web site. The site is designed to keep you informed of our activities, highlight our accomplishments and provide you with important information regarding our classroom. It also contains helpful links for both you and your child. Our web site address is: http://www.geocities.com/dianek921/Framesets Attached is a Class Web Site Permission Form. I'd like to begin posting some of our class work and photos on the site, so it's important that you return the form to me by Friday, September 5, 2003. Also attached is a copy of our Weekly Specials. Please note that we have gym on Friday afternoons. The children are to bring their gym uniforms and tennis shoes to school on that day. They may wear their T-shirts in the classroom (boys, tucked in their pants-girls, under their jumpers). Gym shorts may be worn under uniforms. We will change into our tennis shoes just prior to gym. Also note that we visit the library on Thursday afternoons. First-graders are allowed to check out one book per week. Library books are to be returned on the following Wednesday. I'd like to thank you all for volunteering your time to help our class. I'd like to meet with the Sticker Moms sometime this week. Mrs. Ottolini will be contacting you to set up a meeting. All others will be contacted on an as-needed basis. Parents, when you receive the weekly packet, please remove the |
staple
and keep the Class News along with any other informational type
correspondence. They are intended for you. Return only those
items that require a response. Your child's homework is due
on Fridays. Please make sure that your child's name and number
are on each homework assignment. Following these procedures will
help your child stay organized: not to mention your child's teacher. Have a great week. Ms. Kopilchack This week's activities . . . Language Arts Our story for this week is called, Rain.
